1 - How many times has the computer been restarted since the Tahoe 26.01 was installed ?

2 - Start the computer in Safe Mode. This will perform a Disk Repair, clear cache files and only load Apple Software, extensions and fonts. The boot up will be slow and can take some time - Normal.

Safe Mode will also eliminate Third Party Software, extensions and drivers from loading. It will only load the Minimum amount of Core Apple Processes to allow the the computer to function at a reduced Level of Performance 

Does the issue present in this mode ?

Sometimes a Safe Boot followed by a Normal Boot will just put things right.

3 - The current version of Tahoe has since been released Monday Nov 3 >>> macOS 26.1 build ( 25B78 )

Check System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessories, you may need to allow devices to connect.

Allow USB and other accessories to connect to your Mac - Apple Support

With the above setting, I am prompted to ask occasionally for external drives and SD cards that I haven't used in a couple of weeks or more, but devices connected to ports and SD cards work fine with my MacBook Pro on 26.1 and did on 26.0.1.
