Using Apple USB-C to Lightning Adapter with EarPods on MacBook Air M4

Does anyone know what happen if I connect Apple original USB-C to Lightning Adapter to my MacBook Air M4 just to use my EarPods with Lightning connector?

Thanks in advance. Cheers. Martín

That should work just fine. The Apple USB-C to Lightning Audio Adapter is fully compatible with the M4 MacBook Air. Once you plug it in, macOS will automatically recognize it as an audio output device. Your Lightning EarPods will show up as “USB Audio Device” or “EarPods” in the Sound settings. You can then select them for audio output or input — since the EarPods also include a mic, that part works too.
