Stop MacOS Tahoe from moving widgets to notification center

Once every now and then (maybe during reboot?) MacOS Tahoe 26.1 moves all my carefully placed desktop widgets to the notification center. I then have to drag them out and place them on the desktop again. I've toggled some settings, but nothing seems to help. Is there a way to make sure the widgets remain on the desktop?

You’re using a third-party tool that manages window positions, and things are moving around unexpectedly on your desktop after a macOS update. Seems pretty reasonable that those are related, many third-party tools are not immediately updated for compatibility with a new version of macOS (even though it’s the developers’ responsibility to do so).

Check for updates to that utility (if you got it from the App Store and have automatic updates enabled, it may have already been updated). If the problem recurs, disable the utility or boot into safe mode which disable all third-party extensions.

See if there is anything here—

Thanks for the idea, I don't have any of the mentioned, just Better Snap Tool, I could try disabling that if the problem persists. I've just no idea what causes the widgets to move. They've been fine for a few days now and I just rebooted and they're still on the desktop. I must say I installed Tahoe 26.1 last week, could an OS update install trigger these kinds of things to happen?
