Unexpected iOS update from 18.7.2 notification to iOS 26

the notification of update system popped out, and i pressed in from the notification bar but when it update it update to ios 26 instead of ios18.7.2( which shown frm the notification bar)

Early days, existing iOS is default update and you need to select new iOS from bottom of screen.

Eventually the emphasis moves towards the new iOS as default, need to select old. Then a while later the choice is gone.

Been going on for years.
