Last night I went to bed prettty late like 2 am and had my phone on WiFi and plugged in so I thought it would back up cause I read online that it did it every day. But when I woke up I saw that it still said the last backup was the 6th of Nov can anyone help

If a few days go by without an automatic backup, try a forced re-start of the phone.

This is different from a simple Power Off. I had to continue holding the button down past the "slide to power off" message, and then I released the button only after the Apple Logo appeared indicating a re-start.

I'm not sure there's any guarantee that iCloud Backup happens every day. My last backup was 26 hours ago. In any case, you can just go to
Settings>[name]>iCloud>iCloud Backup
and tap "Backup Now." That should take care of it.

iCloud backups usually happen approximately daily if the phone is powered, locked, and left alone. But I, too, am not an authority. In any case, you can just go to

So, what’s the issue? Are you unable to backup? How have you troubleshot this, so far, yourself?

I did that earlier at 8:00 but I’m still confused why my automatic backup isn’t working it didn’t do it last night either. One reason might be that I updated my version yesterday but it also didn’t work the day before

im not really sure how often it actually backs up but I updated my iOS so I’ll see if that works tonight.

ok I’ll give it a couple days I just have a question. I don’t really understand what a force restart is I looked at the link and it Disney really make since. Do you means holding the volume and power button then sliding the tab that comes up that says something like “power off” to turn the phone completely off?

Sorry about that I must have been forgetting where I seen it anyway I’ve been doing automatic backup so what else do you recommend I do? Also thank you for helping me so far
