Hello people. I’m trying to pair a Roland Vdrum TD30 with an iPad via usb computer to usb C using Logic Pro and GarageBand but with not success on both. I believe I have all the parameters from the vdrum correctly.
I’ve got a keyboard to be connected with the same cable and it’s recognised straight away.

Yes I get what you’re saying , can you see the Roland in midi in the settings?
MIDI In/Out settings in Logic Pro for iPad – Apple Support (UK)
if not, it’s not class compliant and you’ll need to connect a midi interface to your iPad and from that connect your Roland.

Does it need a usb driver that module? If so may not work on iPad. Check in Roland site.
do you want to capture midi or audio?
have you a computer to test on?
You might check the cables supplied so that they’re compatible with the iPad you have (usb c or lightning).
note this is just audio, so you’d be recording the audio output of your kit.
if that’s cool for you then ok.
Well do you have an interface for your iPad or just plugging the usb cable straight into it?
i thought the Roland manual does say a usb driver I’m not sure it’s class compliant is it?

Yes, the interface is Logic Pro and Garage band . The iPad is a hardware doesn’t needs drivers
It’s not showing on the list from Logic Pro settings. So, I will need the midi interface then. Any recommendations??
