Cannot Get Incoming Calendar for Verizon (Now AOL) Mail on iPhone 15

Searched high and low for solutions for this but only have seen posted problems to no avail. I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max running update 18.6.2 (no updates available) and up until recently I have had no problems receiving and saving calendar invites on my verizon (now AOL) through email. Unfortunately now, I do not have the calendar option/button just mail and notes in the calendar/mail account settings. In the mail advanced settings under calendar, I can see the SMTP port which is outgoing is correct but there is no incoming port/server listed, hence why the calendar button is not listed I'm assuming. Below are all the options I've tried unsuccessfully. Please help! I need the calendar function to work on my phone. Thank you.

I have:

  • Checked/unchecked calendar
  • Deleted and re-added calendar
  • Checked calendar settings-also changed ports
  • Verified on AOL/Verizon settings via their site
  • Tried to add just the incoming server settings 993 but to no avail.
  • Tried to add CalDav account to no avail
  • Tried to add AOL as well as Verizon calendars but to no avail.

Most messages say the service is not responding. I'm on a five bar cellular network and connected to the wifi at my home. Both my iMac and my MacBook can receive calendar invites no problem. So frustrating!

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have Verizon, but no calendar is used, if there is one it was never set up. I use Apple's calendar.

If you receive verizon emails, then the incoming port is set at 993. outgoing is 465. Did you go to settings, apps, Mail, account settings, advanced, to view that 993 is set? Select that line and you could manually input 993. Host name: AOL SMTP Server, for iMap. No iOS update would have changed these settings including calendar.

My iPhone 12pro is at iOS 18.7.2 (current, I choose not to go to iOS-26, but should be ok for your much newer phone)

Verizon email is operated by AOL, the web access is different in format from AOL accounts and just not the same. You can call AOL help too.
