Accessibility Concerns Regarding New Apple Music Interface

I am writing to raise a concern about the recent changes to the Apple Music interface. The new playback controls placed at the bottom of the screen, combined with their increased transparency, are proving extremely difficult to use — particularly for users with sight impairments or reduced visual acuity.

As someone who already struggles with the current design, I am worried that many others with visual accessibility needs will find these controls nearly impossible to locate and interact with. Their position, translucency, and reduced contrast significantly hinder usability.

Given the introduction of new accessibility regulations across Europe, it is surprising and concerning that this redesign does not appear to meet the spirit or standards of those laws. Apple has long championed accessibility, so the current interface feels like a step backwards.

I kindly ask that you review the accessibility implications of this new layout and consider adjustments to improve visibility, contrast, and ease of interaction for all users.

Thank you for taking the time to listen, and for your ongoing commitment to inclusive design.
