On iOS 26 I have noticed, that the Camera Control button activates the phone, even when the Require Screen On in camera settings is enabled. I am quite sure, it wasn't working like that on older firmwares, or am I doing something wrong?

Same with me on my iPhone 17 Pro Max. Even with the setting "Require Screen On" toggled ON, the camera app still launches when the iPhone is asleep (and with it pointing away from my face so I know it's not a rapid Face ID unlocking it). It's a bug. I reported it to Apple, but they don't seem to bother that it doesn't work.
