USB not recognized after unplugging without ejecting on MacBook Air

I connected my usb and was searching through it, but then I disconnected it without even ejecting it, when I tried to connect it again, it did not show up in my finder in my MacBook Air

Plug the flash drive (?) into the Mac then launch Disk Utility.

Run the Disk Utility First Aid process on the drive and any containers and volumes it may have on it.
