Apple Intelligence is adding duplicate meetings

When I get meeting invitations from other people through the Mail app, I am getting both the invitation and an Apple Intelligence meeting that duplicates the invitation. For instance, a client sends a meeting invitation that goes onto my calendar to accept, but then AI puts a duplicate meeting that I can "Add to calendar" or "Ignore". How do I turn off this AI function? I have to "ignore" all of the duplicates it is creating.
