Remote access to my MacBook Pro

How to tell if someone is remotely accessing your Mac?

Chances are you're fine, but if you want to verify go to System Preferences -> Sharing and see if either Remote Login and/or Remote Management boxes are checked. If they are, anyone who has your credentials (or the username and password of any user account with administrator's access) will be able to get in.

I cannot find Sharing in Mac Settings. What gives?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 26.1

System Settings > General > Sharing (or just type Sharing into the search box at the top left of the Settings app).
