AppleCare purchase denied for MacBook Pro

I purchased a MacBook Pro 14 M4 Pro on November 13, 2024. Today, I wanted to purchase AppleCare, but in Poland this is only possible through the support hotline. There, my request was denied, with the explanation that the warranty expired on November 12, 2025. The official information, however, refers only to a 12-month period from the date of purchase, not to the warranty itself.

The system shows that I am still eligible to purchase AppleCare, and I have the option to click “Add,” but this then directs me to the hotline, which refuses the purchase. Is this the correct procedure?

In my opinion, the one-year period since purchase ends today, November 13, 2025, at the end of the day.

Thank you.

I have just checked the Apple Care+ plan I bought two years ago for my Apple Watch Ultra 2.

The purchase of the watch has been made on the November 29th, and the extended warranty will end November 28th. Which makes sense in that way, that on November 29th the third year would start, just like on your birthday you are getting one year older.

Which does not explain, however, why you can see the option to buy another Apple Care plan for your device, as shown in the status for the warranty.

Can you find more details on this Apple Care page, if you open it in your browser?

Yes, I went through all of that. As this was the last call the only option to purchase and register at the same time was to buy directly from Apple.

I wanted to buy it yesterday, but was too late to reach the hotline and the system was assuring me that I still have two days left to purchase.

Disappointing...

Anyway, thanks for your time!
