Safari 100% zoom indicator missing in iPadOS 26

Safari 100% zoom indicator missing in iPadOS 26 - bug or OS 26 design change?

On my iPad Air 11” M3 running iPadOS 26.1, when I tap the AA button in Safari’s address bar, I see the small “a” and large “A” zoom controls, but there’s no longer a “100%” indicator which appears to show when Zoom has been set to 100%

Is this an intentional design change in iPadOS 26, or is this a bug? If intentional, is there a new gesture or shortcut to quickly reset Safari page zoom to 100%?

Not sure it's quicker but, if you have the iPad display set to Windows or Stage Manager, you can swipe down from the top of the screen to bring down the menu bar, tap on View, and then on Actual Size to return the page to 100%.

If you have a keyboard attached command+0 will return the zoom level to normal too.

Unfortunately that is not an option on iPhone. You need to tap the a or A up or down until the 100% value flashes.

You can offer feedback to Apple if you would like it modified.

Thanks! Just what I want for my iPad with iOS 26.1. Would you happen to know if a similar ‘Actual Size’ button is on the iOS 26 Safari Page menu? I can’t update my iPhone OS right now because I am doing some iOS 18 specific testing.
