The only time the Unified RAM could be increased would have been if you had done Customized Purchase

Regarding other users, check their home folder sizes (from the top level of your drive, open the Users folder), if that’s what is taking space and their files are no longer needed on your Mac, then delete them:

Delete a user or group on Mac - Apple Support

Choose the delete option, not the preserve data options.
