iPad adapter smells burnt after liquid: Safe to use?
I have a 25W adapter for my iPad charger (I use a genuine apple charger). When I removed my charger from my iPad, it accidentally fell and got doused in my soda cup while plugged. When I unplugged it, the adapter smelled like burnt plastic but it did not feel hot. I first cleaned the cable with alcohol and air dried it for some time. I let the adapter cool down for some time, but it still smells. After drying and cooling it out, I tested the cable out using another adapter and it seemed to work fine. But I am too scared to check if the 25W adapter still works as it still smells like burnt plastic. Can I still use it? Should I try testing it too? Would it still be safe to use it again if it somehow still works? Also, is the cable still also safe to use if it seems to work normally?
