Notes app on iOS 26.1 the cursor jumps when entering data in columns. Looks like only when in a table so if you type in 14.23 you may get 14.32. It happens all the time and didn’t happen before the iOS 26.1 update. Using a iPhone 16.

At first I thought it was me then I watched the cursor actually move causing the numbers and letters to be entered incorrectly. Looks like they had a similar problem on the Mac side a few years ago. Thanks for the reply.
I have had this issue on iPhone for at least 2 years. It has gotten significantly worse with iOS 26 but it has existed on my iPhone and Mac for years. Many others have reported this issue for years on this very forum (Cursor Positioning Issue in Tables within… - Apple Community )
I have also reported the bug to Apple many times using their feedback reporting tool over the last couple of years and it has obviously not been fixed. A couple of weeks ago, it got so bad that I called Apple support to report it over the phone. I sent the support team a video of the cursor bug happening and they logged a diagnostic report from my device while they could literally see the bug happen live while I screen shared my iPhone 17 Pro. Members of the support team told me that they’d get back to me with information from an Apple engineer but they have not reached out in over a week (after they specifically promised to reach out last Wednesday).
This is a super unfortunate experience, as I use the Notes app everyday for work and it’s almost non-functional on iOS 26.1. I appreciate the optimism in this thread suggesting that this problem will be fixed imminently but at this point, I personally wonder how widespread an issue like this has to be for a juggernaut company like Apple to take notice. Two years is a long time to wait for a fix to such an egregious bug, in my opinion.
I guess I should count myself fortunate as this bug just started happening. Thanks for the assurance that it’s not just me. It seems like this issue should be a priority since the erroneous entry of data is something that we attribute to our own error and not the software we use. It’s great to know that others have tried to get this fixed and hopefully a resolution will soon become a reality. Thanks!
You're not alone. I've seen three other posts about this in the past couple of days. So, I expect an update that fixes it will be forthcoming!
