How do I determine the specifications of my new iPhone 16 Pro with model number 5YNG3 ZP/A?

Good afternoon, I purchased an iPhone 16 pro as a new one, with the model number 5YNG3 ZP/A. Can you tell me what?

A date of 2007 most often indicates a phone was refurbished, not by an Authorized Apple Refurbisher. At this point, since this is a user to user only forum, NOT Apple Support, if you're concerned about the phone, contact Apple. We can tell you nothing about the phone and since you bought it online from some website, it's anyone's guess here what you actually bought. If you want an authentic iPhone, you should buy it from Apple or an actual Apple Reseller. You bought a phone which has been discontinued by Apple from some website. And since you do seem concerned, if you are within the timeframe to return it to the seller, return it and buy an iPhone from Apple.

I just reread your first post. The phone is Refurbished as indicated by the model number beginning with 5. Which is why the date of activation is 2007. The phone has NO warranty with Apple at all.

If the seller represented the phone as brand new, they lied. Whether you want to or can return the phone is between you and seller and there's nothing here can do to help you with that.

Please elaborate what information you are looking for.

5YNG3

I don’t recognize that as a valid model number, but my information is not exhaustive.

ZP/A

Apple model numbers with ZP/A are traditionally intended for the Hong Kong and Macau markets. Their packaging should include labels and printed information in languages for those markets.

The initial product would get the /A designation. Any official change to the product, bundled accessories, or packaging would result in a /B for the revision.

Did you buy it from an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Reseller? You should.

If not, then you are taking a risk for buying products that may not be what you expect from it. Either for new, genuine parts, or warranty.

Apple officially discontinued the 16 Pro on 2025-09-09, so they wouldn’t sell it as new after that date.
