External Display crashing on iOS 26.1

Using my external display with iPad OS constantly disconnects and ruins window arrangements when drawing in procreate. I am trying to use my large monitor as an external display for drawing reference, but it won’t stay connected. The second I start drawing, the monitor disconnects and then reconnects itself, and all the windows I had up on it are gone. It's functionally useless for this purpose. I can’t even use it for a single brush stroke before it crashes. I’m using ipad OS 26.1 (unfortunately) and thought I would try this workflow, but it doesn’t work at all. It’s possible this is an issue with procreate, because I haven’t noticed the crashes (yet) on other apps. My monitor is a Dell U4025QW.

EDIT: After playing around with it more, the issue is not isolated to procreate. The monitor just crashes randomly when using the ipad touch interface. Just opening up the control panel drop down with the touch gesture will cause the monitor to crash and reconnect.
