iPhone 15+ birthdays disappearing from contacts

I've asked this question before, but no one commented. I have an iphone 15+. I use google calendar and google contacts. My iphone syncs with my laptop. The issue is that birthdays arbitrarily get dropped on my phone contacts or on my lap top. Sometimes both places. Just any old time any old day. Is it because iphones aren't always compatible with Google?
