Unable to paste or select password for Apple Watch on iPhone

Issue with pasting text from iPhone to Apple Watch

Prompted on iPhone to enter password on Apple Watch as expected. But the window on iPhone is only one character tall, not the full password popover it should be. Impossible to select a password. Also pasting fails. Typing on iPhone WILL enter as expected but pasting won’t and it is impossible to actually select a password. FAIL26.
