My wife just bought the iPhone 17 Pro Max 1TB. The camera keeps going blank every few days and she has to to restart the phone. Has anyone else seen this with the new phones ?

iPhone > Settings > scroll down > Lock Screen Swipe to Open Camera > toggle the switch off and on and then restart the iPhone. Lastly, set the switch to the desired setting. Many users have found this resolved the issue.

Is your wife using the native Apple Camera app or a third party camera app such as Zoom, WhatsApp, etc.?
What iOS version is she using?
The same thing is happening to me. Same exact issue. I have the iPhone 17 Pro Max, iOS 26.1. I open the camera. It works for a second and then goes black, or grey. I have to reboot the phone every time it happens. Really annoying!
She is using the native camera app. The phone is on 26.1 it happens on the front and rear camera and in photo and video mode. It’s completely black in all modes until the phone is rebooted
facing same issue. Mine is 17 pro, ios - 26.01. and needs rebooting everyday to fix it
how do we raise this issue. This snag needs to be addressed soon
