Can I use an iPad Pro (M5) with a Thunderbolt dock and an external monitor simultaneously?

Is it possible to use an iPad Pro (M5) with a Thunderbolt dock, and still use an external monitor?


use case: ability to use iPad like desktop including wired internet connection.

Yes. Depending upon the specifications of the dock, you can use a suitable external display/monitor with your iPad.


Connect iPad to a display with a cable - Apple Support


Your dock/monitor will need to support DisplayPort, DP Alt Mode over USB-C, or HDMI. A wired Ethernet connection is also supported by your iPad - and will require either an appropriate Ethernet port on the dock, or a suitable connected USB-C Ethernet Adapter.
