TextEdit. Why do Chinese translation shortcuts appear and then disappear in TextEdit settings? Mac air sequoia 15.6.1

Today I went to change TextEdit settings.

My TextEdit Settings showed two “Translate Chinese” shortcuts: one was “traditional.”

Then they disappeared.

What could have created this?

There were no other language settings or shortcuts and I cannot speak or read Chinese.

I use PubMed.

Have had phishing and spoofed pages in Safari. I use vpn.

It sounds like you have may have found some standard MacOS "services" which can be activated. They look like this:

If that is what you saw, there is nothing to worry about. Normally only Chinese speakers would use them.

If you saw something else, post a screenshot.
