iOs26.1 bugs with Music App?

Since the update, the Music App on my iPhone 17 Pro Max is randomly changing music artwork drawing art from

Books

Audiobooks

Podcasts

Photos

Apple TV shows

And replacing the correct album artwork, sometimes with artists I have no music of in my library.

My iMac Music library is in perfect shape with just over 103,000 songs.

It's affecting iTunes purchases as well as ripped CDs.

It's also changing Music Video artwork with books etc like it is music albums on the phone.

Each Synch - it changes artwork from another random location or imports something (assuming Music or iTunes) so it's not saving anything incorrect from previous syncs.

iMac iOs is up to date, I've done the usual shut downs and turning the phone off and trying again, makes no difference.

I've deleted the Music App off my phone took approx 30 hours to reinstall all of my music but artwork on the phone is totally random again, didn't copy over as per my Mac.

Was working perfectly prior to the software update.

Spoken to Apple Support - they said they've had no issues reported re this.

Is the phone a dud or is it just this new software update has a bug?
