Yellow tint while "True Tone" on. (MacBook Air M4 13 2025)
I assume this is a software prob of corrupted or incorrect color profile.
Standard "Color LCD" profile inherited from my previous MacBook 2020 (had the same problem).
Any clues how to restore the default OS profiles for macOS Tahoe at MacBook Air M4 13 2025?

Because of the way TrueTone works, color profiles are meaningless as it is constantly adjusting color and brightness based on the ambient lighting by some algorithm Apple engineers have come up with.
FWIW, I personally do not enable TrueTone. For one, I feel the shift in color and intensity a bit unsettling for my taste and just seems to be a bit unnatural to my eyes. Perhaps you are more sensitive to the changes like myself and others. For two, I do photo work and it is very important that the display has a constant appearance and color and intensity shifts would result in a disaster of inconsistent results.
So, if TrueTone doesn't satisfy you, disable it as it doesn't always work for everyone's eyes.
I think that your "Colour LCD" profile is the correct one.
I checked my wife's Air and it also has "Color LCD" (the difference in spelling, as you may have guessed is due to US vs UK English).
Do you happen to have accidentally turned on "Night Shift"? That would certainly cause a yellowish tint...

"True tone" is present when display in HDR mode. It doesn't depend on color profile, as far as i understand.
I wonder if you could check and specifics on "Color LCD" profile if you have one.
(Side thought: Could it be that the differ from generation to generation?

Seems my assumption was correct. There's just no apropriate color profile for Macbook Air M4.
Color profiles were imported from my old machine during initial software migration and seem ancient - not a single new one.
And there's no color profile corresponding to M4 Air!
Any ideas how to get one? Without complete clean sw reinstall.
Go to System Settings->Displays.
What is selected for "Preset"? Below is what I see in mine (it's an M4 Pro MBP, so the options may not match exactly).
Make sure that the default preset is selected. There is a thin line separating the default option(s) at the top from the rest.
My wife has an M4 MacBook Air.
I will be able to check later today and see what options appear in her Mac, but I am going to guess that "Colour LCD" is the one you're supposed to use.
FWIW, in my Mac, "True Tone" is only an option in my Mac when one of the default presets is selected, and disappears otherwise.
