Wondering whether or not your hearing-aids are :"Made for iPhone" (MFi ) Compaible.

If so: Apple's hearing software and settings can be used: Eg: Settings/ Accessibility/ Hearing Devices controls

or

If not: The hearing-aids may need to rely on Bluetooth, firmware, and maybe an app from the manufacturer.

See Apple Support's online list : Hearing-aids are listed alphabetically by the manufacturer / brand / name.

Apple support's iPhone article: Use hearing devices with iPhone - Apple Support

Eg: says:

"Stream audio to your hearing devices

You can stream audio from phone calls, music, movies, podcasts, Siri, and more.

  1. Tap in Control Center, on the Lock Screen, or in the Now Playing controls for the app you’re listening to.
  2. Choose your hearing device.

You can also automatically route audio calls to a hearing device.

To troubleshoot issues you have using your hearing devices with iPhone,
