How to easily wipe out a Macbook Pro running Big Sur 11.7.10?

I have now spent 6 hours trying to erase my Macbook Pro version 11.7.10 with big sur following all the lengthy and involved instructions. As a Gen x let me just say I am not unfamiliar with computers going back to floppies. Why in the name of God have you not created one simple and effective way of wiping out you computer? Like put it on your web site to download a fast wipeout program! JC 6 hours and I still can’t get it wiped. Now I suppose i have to pay someone to do it! I should just drive over it!
