Cannot use keyboard to pair wireless mouse

Hi Folks

I am trying to connect my wireless mouse to my Mac using a keyboard only.

the Bluetooth recognises my mouse but my keyboard arrow keys don’t work to go down the list in My devices and click on my mouse icon to pair.

appreciate any help
