If your MacBook keeps dropping Wi-Fi while other devices stay stable, it’s usually a Mac-side configuration issue.

Try these quick fixes:

1. Reset Wi-Fi settings

System Settings → Network → Wi-Fi → (…) → Reset Wi-Fi.

2. Forget and re-join your network

Sometimes the saved profile gets corrupted.

3. Add reliable DNS

System Settings → Network → Wi-Fi → Details → DNS:

• 8.8.8.8

• 1.1.1.1

4. Rebuild network files (often fixes it)

Go to: /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/

Delete:

• com.apple.airport.preferences.plist

• NetworkInterfaces.plist

• preferences.plist

Restart your Mac.

5. Try your router’s 5GHz network

MacBooks can be sensitive to interference on 2.4GHz.

These steps usually stop the constant disconnect/reconnect loop. Let us know if it keeps happening

Radio interference can take down one device but not others. See this Apple article:

Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference - Apple Support

At the museum where I volunteer, the volunteers' desk is Ground Zero for all the facility's tech. I had massive disconnect issues there with my own computer but no other gear like my phone or iPad. When we moved the museum's wifi-enabled printer to a different office, the disconnects stopped.

My work area at home is as densely concentrated as the museum's but I have our active gear on three different levels and that seems to work. The router/modem and one wifi printer are on the floor under the desk; three computers are at desk level, and another wifi printer is on a shelf 18 inches above the desk level.

So one fix may be as simple as rearranging.
