MacBook Pro 10,1 is a Retina model 2012 or 2013 15-in model with dual graphics processors that does graphics switching on the fly.

The watchdog timer -- task the makes sure an asynchronous task does not get lost - fired and complained it had not heard form WindowServer in a very long time, and various composts of window server were not working.

are you seeing any graphics anomalies?

what sort of work are you doing?

do you run google chrome?

I suspect you have some third party software installed to run on startup that is causing a conflict. Post the free EtreCheck report using the Additional Text option when posting. The report contains no personal information. Some common types of software that will cause a conflict are:

  • Cleaners
  • AntiVirus
  • Optimizers
  • Unsigned/Old software that needs updating.
