How long does the Apple Pencil (USB-C) battery last?

Apple officially advertises up to 12 hours of continuous use for all models of the Apple Pencil (1st, 2nd gen, Pro, and USB-C) before requiring a charge. Real-world performance, however, can vary based on usage and conditions.
