thousands of duplicate contacts that I can’t get rid of. The ‘view duplicates’ (or similar) doesn’t appear under my contact card. I’ve switched off contacts on the three main email addresses yet multiples of the same contacts continue to appear. It’s hard to find the most up to date contact. Any solutions?
You should choose which account you want to use and turn off (and delete) all others
Yes I did and promptly lost all my WhatsApp contacts and others so I had to restore contacts on all my accounts. So still have the problem. Sometimes 20 of the same contact, some of them of people who I haven’t contacted for more than 20 years and whose addresses are defunct.
When you switched off contacts did you select "delete from my iphone"?
