Copy/Paste/Airdrop from Macbook to iPhone 17 note working (I can go from Phone to Macbook but not reverse -- and worked for my i Phone 16)

I CAN copy and paste and airdrop from my iphone 17 to my macbook but not in reverse (it wont work from my macbook back to my phone, not the copy and paste nor the airdrop)

I have seen a lot of other posts where the copy and past feature or airdrop won't work at all and have gone through and tried all of the 'fixes' but I can't seem to find a similar issue where it works one direction (phone to mac) but not the other (mac to phone)

any help is appreciated

It worked fine both directions with my iPhone 16 a couple months ago before I upgraded :-(
