Apple Maps Not Providing Directions on Multiple Devices and Accounts

My iPhone 16 Pro was updated to iOS 26.1 yesterday. As of today, Apple Maps will no longer provide directions. When I try to put in a destination, it simply says “add stop” as if it’s already navigating, but it’s not. It also says that directions are not available between those locations, regardless of what locations I choose.


This is not device specific because it’s also affecting my iPad and MacBook Air as well as my wife’s iPhone and daughter‘s iPhone, so it’s not even account specific.


I checked the Apple status page expecting it to say that there was a problem with Apple Maps but it doesn’t. I then called support expecting them to say it was a known issue, but they didn’t. First level support was unable to figure it out and finally told me to restart my phone because they can only follow procedure. That solved nothing. I have to call back tomorrow with the case number and ask for second level support.


Is anyone else having this issue? I don’t understand how it can be impacting three separate accounts in this household and not be a widespread thing.
