Water Damaged Mac Screen

Hi, my water bottle leaked in my bag all over my mac (MacBookPro 13 inch, M1, 2020). Luckily it seems to be functioning with no problems but has damaged the screen quite severely. It's quite hard to capture on camera but theres one long patch across the middle and two patches on both top corners which are getting progressively worse.

Does anyone have any advice on how to possibly resolve this myself?

Or if not any estimates on how much a repair would cost?

Many thanks.

it would be really nice if, after contact with water, computer equipment could just be dried out and continue to work as before.

But alas, it is not so.

That history of contact with Water can cause subtle changes to the electronics it contacts, and start strange processes that were never meant to be. Crystals can start to grow between metallic contacts on integrated circuits, long after the water has been dried.

Your display has its electronics "printed" on the back of the glass, and the weirdness of the effects that can result have no upper bound.
