Looking at upgrading my current MacBook Pro - after advice please

Looking at upgrading my macbook pro - would a macbook pro with M4 Pro 14-core CPU 20-core GPU chip 24GB unified memory be faster than my old Macbook pro 2018 2.9ghz 6-core intel core i9 with 32gb 2400Mhz DDR4, or would I be better to look at the model with 48gb of unified memory?

I mainly use it for running Adobe Creative suite apps, with some photoshop editing, but not anything like video, so a bit unsure, of the newer offerings, what my most suitable upgrade model would be to look at.
