iCloud not updating in Finder
In Finder, my iCloud hasn't updated its self for over 12 hours. How can I manually sync so that there isn't a half day lag?

Keep your Mac well charged, using Wi-Fi with no VPN, no anti-virus, while the Mac isn’t too busy.
Sometimes iCloud Drive's automatic update might take several minutes. Or by taking notice of the document's file modification date in Finder list.
BBEdit seems to on-the-fly open the fresh document which is updated in the background while BBEdit is opening it. But in my experience LibreOffice Writer does not, so I usually do that dummy open before actually opening the document.
Sometimes I have made a dummy temporary new folder or document to force iCloud Drive to update its contents.
Only once iCloud Drive has stubbornly failed to update but rebooting the Mac fixed that. My next troubleshooting step would have been to reboot the router and maybe turn iCloud Drive OFF/ON.
