Optimized charging does not work

Hi. Optimized charging does not work. Help me decide why. It stopped working half a year ago. Then there was the 16 pro. I upgraded to 17 pro a month ago. It doesn't work anyway. Geolocation is enabled. Geolocation system settings are enabled. Important locations are also included (although there are three entries and no new ones appear). I charge my phone at night at home in one place. The block is original, the wire is original. Optimized charging is enabled. In general, I read the instructions on the apple website and did everything according to it. It doesn't work anyway. A few days ago, optimized charging turned on once, and it was no longer there.

You need to put it on charge at roughly the same time when you gonto bed, and take it off charge at roughly the same time when you get up. It looks like you are doing that.

It takes maybe 2-3 weeks to learn your habits but it can change on a whim if you change habits. For example shift workers who change their shifts cannot use it.

Main thing is it really doesn't hurt the battery measurably if it varies. Leave it activated, it will settle down

Explain what you mean by ‘optimized charging does not work’. Are you saying you cannot charge your device at all? Does it charge to 80% and then stop? What precisely is happening?

The iPhone charges up to 100% immediately. In optimized charging, it should first charge to 80% and fully charge to 100% by morning. This is not happening. It immediately charges to 100% and stays there until morning.

That's how it was on Tuesday. As I understand it, optimized charging has started. This is the only case in the last six months. 🤷🏼

As soon as it hits 100% the charger turns off. Once it drops to 99% or so it charges again. It isn't on charge all night.

When your iPhone pauses charge at 80% or hits 100% near the end it stops allowing power into the iPhone while still showing the lightning bolt symbol. It will only resume charge if it drops more than 5% of the threshold. And it's not bad for the battery as any power in the night comes from the outlet or main source, allowing the battery to rest.

Have you checked:

Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services and turn on Location Services.
Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > System Services and turn on System Customization.
Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > System Services > Significant Locations and turn on Significant Locations.

And:

Charge Limit is set to 100%
Optimized Battery Charging needs AT LEAST 14 days to activate and learn from your habits.
It needs to experience 9 charges or more of 5 hours or more at a certain location.
