Turn off family sharing passwords

Turned off password sharing, deleted individual family members, & eventually the entire family group, but passwords still appear in each other’s passwords app.

This happens because shared password groups continue to exist even after you turn off password sharing or delete the family group. To fix it: delete the Shared Password Groups inside Settings → Passwords, stop sharing individual passwords, toggle iCloud Keychain off/on on all devices, remove old devices from Apple ID, delete shared password groups on iCloud.com, and reset settings if needed. iOS 26.2 fixes the underlying bug.

Thanks for ur helpful reply. We did the steps prior to ur recommendation & it still didn’t work. We ended up manually deleting the passwords.

The same thing mysteriously happened with my credit cards…when that same family member used ‘auto-fill’ to populate their online credit card info, my credit card info popped up as options! We ended up manually deleting my passwords from their account. 👀

Appreciate the 26.2 news.
