Erase iPad Completely (Fastest & Guaranteed)

This removes the forgotten Restrictions Passcode.

You must use a computer (Mac or Windows PC with iTunes).

✔ Step 1: Turn off the iPad

Hold Power → Slide to power off

✔ Step 2: Put the iPad into Recovery Mode

iPad 7th Gen uses Home button.

  1. Hold Home button
  2. Connect iPad to computer using USB
  3. Keep holding until you see:
  4. Connect to computer / Recovery Mode screen

✔ Step 3: Restore the iPad

On your computer:

  • macOS Catalina or newer → open Finder
  • macOS Mojave or Windows → open iTunes

You will see:

▶ “There is a problem with the iPad that requires it to be updated or restored.”

Choose:

👉 Restore

This will:

✔ Erase all data

✔ Remove the Restrictions passcode

✔ Install the latest iPadOS your iPad supports (iPadOS 17 for iPad 7th gen)

After restoring, you can sign in with the correct Apple ID and set it up normally.
