MacBook Air printer installation and optical drive problem

I acquired a MacBook Air M4 , 24 gb, 512 SSD 4 days back. Now I have 2 problems.

I would be thankful if I can get a solution to these issueds or more information

It's rather difficult to offer any useful suggestions without knowing exactly what's wrong...

Why can't you do those things? What happens when you try?

What troubleshooting, if any, have you done?

If this is a matter of incompatible device plugs, then USB-A to USB-C plug adapters are one answer.

Find them all day on Amazon at a cost of about $10/pair.
