MacBook Air M2 logic board issue with 6 months old laptop

I had recently bought an air M2 (2022) with 16GB memory. I was very excited as it was my first laptop. 6 months and 25 battery cycles into the purchase, the laptop just died on me. I tried to power it with MagSafe, USB C. No luck. I had taken great care of my laptop. I’m really regretting the decision of choosing Mac over windows. I have submitted the Mac for repair and the technician informed me that the logic board will be replaced and will be covered under warranty. I’m thankful that it’s still under warranty. What I’m more concerned about is, how can a 6 month old device fail and how can I trust the brand moving forward.

Given that Apple has sold billions of devices over the decades it's only realistic to expect that some of those devices will prematurely fail. It's life and it happens. Chalk it up to bad luck.

On the other side of that coin, it's fortunate that Apple provides that one year warranty so you're not out any money for this repair. Call that good luck! 🍀🙂
