Microsoft Teams notifications break through Focus modes

I have various Focus modes on my iPhone 17 with iOS 26.1. In all Focus modes where I have notifications set to ‘Allow Notifications From’, notifications from Microsoft Teams are still “fully” delivered, I.e. sound, vibration, delivered and replicated on Watch. I’ve checked all settings in Focus and Teams settings (app and iOS), and they aren’t set to Prioritise or Time Sensitive, yet still break through any Focus mode I have on.

Check if the person sending the notification is in your favorites. That may be a back door via the person route.

If favorites are blocked, report it to apple https://apple.com/feedback

and to Microsoft if you can find their new learning system.
