Apple Watch Ultra 3 Waypoint face: 'Position unavailable

I have an AW Ultra 3 on WatchOS 26.1 and chose the Waypoint face, despite not being a hiker myself - I just like the design and the ability to have a reminder of where the car is parked... My watch, however, keeps showing "position unavailable", which kind of annoys me. I know it's probably my fault not understanding what "position" it's talking about but bear with me for now, please. What do I have to do to convince my AW to show my "position"? Can someone, please, enlighten me as to what this message is actually trying to tell me?

I found what was causing the issue. From my iPhone, I had to go to Settings > Location Services > APPLE Watch Faces and select While Using the App. That was set to Never.

Thank you, Juliet! This reply is really helpful, it was set to "Never" but: I do not see "While Using the App" as an option. See screenshot below:

Juliet, it WORKED! Now, here's what happened: because it was the only option (other than "Never"), I chose "When I share"; I went for a walk and the watch prompted me to select an option for location services and now there was a "While using", which I selected. Bingo! The annoying "Location unavailable" is gone. Thank You very much!
