Unable to remove workout types on Apple Watch Series 11 GPS

I just got a Apple Watch GPS 11 and I am trying to remove unneeded workout TYPES (not individual workouts).

All the sites I have gone to for help show just swiping left on the watch on the workout type name in the list of workout types removes this type from the list. When I do it nothing happens?
