Cannot send new iMessages to

I recently got a new phone number. I can send texts to people I have already sent a message too. When I try and send a message to someone to to update my phone number, it’s giving me that error message. I’ve gone into settings and toggled the iMessage enable button, checked the phone number and email that they’re using to send it and restarted my phone and it still hasn’t worked

Please contact your mobile network provider. They need to enable the phone number via their network so that imessage sending works with your phone number. This is usually activated internally when you enable imessage.


Alternatively, you can also send imessage using your apple email id by going to


Settings—>Apps—>Messages->imessage(on)

>Send & Receive


Under “Start New Conversations”

✔️ Phone number

✔️Apple email id


Please note when sending using apple email id, the recepient will get messages sent from showing your apple email instead of phone no:
