can't print or scan with my Epson ET-4800 wireless printer since updating to Tahoe 26.1
Often times when an OS is upgraded some printers and scanners will no longer work until you download new software and/or printer drivers which work with the new OS. Have you done so?
Epson released Scanner drivers and Epson Scan Utility 2 in Sept 2025. You want these, not the Drives & Utilities Combo download which was released in Fall 2024. The last printer driver for this device was released in Oct 2024, and may or may not be compatible with macOS Tahoe 26.1.
The Epson ET-4800 is also supported by Apple's AirPrint service when networked (Wi-Fi or Ethernet). This would preclude your needing to download anything from Epson in order to print or scan. The scanning function would be handled by Apple's ImageCapture utility, or optionally, by VueScan Professional.
