Why is my new Ultra 3 Apple Watch charging so slowly?

I have a brand-new Apple Watch Ultra 3, and charging is super slow. Today, it has taken over four hours to get to 75% using the charging cord that came with the watch and an A2305 charger. The Apple website says this should only take 45 minutes. Any ideas what could be causing the problem?
