iPhone 13 controls grayed out in Audio MIDI Setup

Hello, I want to play audio from my iPhone 13 to the speakers of my MacBook Pro 2021 16-inch. I connect my iPhone to the Mac, and it shows up in the Finder just fine.

When I go to Audio MIDI Setup and enable the iPhone 13, this works, but when I click the gear at the bottom to configure the device, everything is grayed out, as shown in the image.

This Mac is running Tahoe 26.1, and the iPhone is iOS 18.7.2. Both device operating systems are up to date, which was recommended on other websites. I've also restarted both devices repeatedly, but nothing changes. I am using a genuine Apple USB-C to Lightning cable to connect the devices.

How can I get the connected iPhone controls to stop being grayed out?
